Venue Information for the NREN PC meeting and the 30th TERENA General Assembly meeting, Sofia, Bulgaria, 23 and 24 October 2008

The NREN PC meeting and the 30th TERENA General Assembly meeting will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria on 23 and 23 October 2008. The meetings will be hosted by BREN, the Bulgarian NREN.

The venue of the NREN PC Meeting on 23 October is the State Agency of Information Technology and Communication in the Central Post Office, 6 Gourko Street, 1000 Sofia.
The venue of the TERENA General Assembly Meeting on 24 October is the Grand Hotel Sofia, 1 Gourko Street, 1000 Sofia (not far from the other venue).

On both days, BREN will provide a sandwich lunch. Mr. Plamen Vachkov, the chairman of the State Agency for Information Technology and Communications invites all participants and their partners to an official dinner. Registration for this dinner is required.

Note: the TERENA General Assembly meeting will start on Friday, 24 October at 9.00 and is scheduled to run until 16.00 on the same day. (This means that you should not schedule a return flight out of Sofia before 18.00 on the Friday.)

BREN will offer an excursion to all delegates who are in Sofia already in the morning of 23 October. The destination will be the National Historical Museum, at the foot of Vitosha mountain. A bus will collect people from the Grand Hotel Sofia at 9 am and from Kolikovski Hotel at 9.20. The bus will return to Sofia in time for the start of the NREN PC meeting.

Please inform BREN (Kiril Boyanov) of your arrival and departure day and time, especially if you plan to arrive early or leave later. BREN intends to organise some sightseeing for delegates who have a bit of extra time available.
